Alessandra Aita nasce nel 1983 a San Daniele del Friuli, in provincia di Udine. Dalla sua terra d’origine, il Friuli Venezia Giulia, assorbe l’amore per il legno come materia d’elezione per la scultura e quella forza discreta e silenziosa che nutre la sua ricerca artistica. Fin da bambina avverte un bisogno interiore di plasmare la materia per dare forma a emozioni e pensieri.
Dopo gli studi presso l’Istituto Statale d’Arte “Giovanni Sello” di Udine, si specializza anche in grafica pubblicitaria, avviando un’attività professionale che convive, in parallelo, con un’intensa e costante ricerca artistica.
Nel tempo, Alessandra Aita ha sviluppato un linguaggio espressivo del tutto personale, incentrato sull’uso del legno di recupero, frammenti restituiti dalla natura, consumati dall’acqua, dal tempo e dagli agenti atmosferici.
Questi materiali, carichi di storia e memoria, nelle sue mani diventano elementi vivi, simboli dell’esistenza umana, della sua fragilità e della sua capacità di trasformazione.
Le sue sculture sono forme essenziali, sospese tra il sogno e l’introspezione.
Figure spoglie e spesso incomplete, che riflettono la complessità dell’animo umano, il vuoto come spazio di possibilità, la ferita come origine di conoscenza. Al centro della sua ricerca c’è sempre l’essere umano, restituito nella sua verità più profonda, nella sua vulnerabilità e nel suo desiderio di connessione con l’altro e con il mondo.
Il suo lavoro ha trovato ampio riconoscimento in Italia e all’estero, attraverso mostre personali, collettive e fiere d’arte contemporanea.

Alessandra Aita was born in 1983 in San Daniele del Friuli, in the province of Udine. The artist’s origins in Friuli Venezia Giulia have had a significant influence on her artistic practice, particularly in terms of her choice of medium and the conceptual underpinnings of her oeuvre.
The region’s rich tradition of woodcarving has imbued her with a profound respect for this material, which she has come to consider the ideal medium for her sculptural expression.
The meticulous and meditative nature of woodcarving has served as a valuable source of inspiration, providing a foundation for her artistic research and development.
From a very young age, she has felt compelled to mould matter in
order to give shape to her emotions and thoughts. Following her studies at the Giovanni Sello State Institute of Art in Udine, she specialised in advertising graphics, commencing a professional activity that coexists with an intensive and constant artistic research.
Over time, Alessandra Aita has developed a highly personal expressive language, centred on the use of reclaimed wood, fragments given back by nature, consumed by water, time and weathering.
The artist’s engagement with these materials, rich in history and memory, results in their transformation into living elements, serving as symbols of human existence, its fragility and its capacity for transformation.
Her sculptures are essential forms, suspended between dream and introspection.
Bare and often incomplete figures that reflect the complexity of the human soul, the void as a space of possibility, the wound as a source of knowledge. At the centre of her research is always the human being, restored in his deepest truth, in his vulnerability and in her desire to connect with the other and with the world.
Her work has found wide recognition in Italy and abroad through solo and group exhibitions andcontemporary art fairs.
